The Opening Ceremony of the Professional Master Program of Project Management in Construction (MPM), the 9th intake 2016 officially took place on Thursday, 29 Sep 2016, at Sum Villa, 10 Dang Thai Mai Str., Tay Ho District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

The ceremony with presence of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Hoa – The Deputy Director of AIT-VN; Dr. Bonaventura Hadikusumo – Associate Professor, Program Coordinator; MPM participants & Alumni and AIT-VN key staff.



MPM Program is one of the Professional Masters offered by the School of Engineering & Technology (SET), AIT. It was first launched in Vietnam in 2007 and has been expanding its program in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho and Vung Tau. MPM program offers students mobility, international joint publications with market-oriented curriculum. The school’s mission is to develop highly qualified engineers and technologists who play leading roles in promoting the region’s industrial competitiveness in its integration into the global economy.

More than 450 alumni graduated from MPM Program in Vietnam since 2007. Most of them are holding key positions in governmental organizations, entrepreneurs, both in public and private sectors. AIT is also very proud to have excellent and supportive students and alumni who have been paying their efforts to contribute and support for the development of the program.

Ms. Dao Thi Minh Hong – the Commercial Manager, Project Construction Management department of the BITEXCO group (to be Alumnus of the 8th year) and Mr. Trinh Vuong Duy – Altus group (Vietnam) Ltd. (Alumnus of the 3rd year) shared their experiences and unforgettable memories with all the students of this year. Mr. Hoang Lam, the representative student of the 9th Intake – MPM Program – also shared his expectations to the program.

 The students of this year come from Vietnam and South Korea and now are working at Power & Construction Divison of Vietnam Oil & Gas group (Petrovietnam), Nipon Koei, Jinwoo Engineering Korea, Plantec Vietnam Company Ltd., ECOBA Jsc., ADF Interior Design, etc. They all, regardless of age, come to the MPM program in order to “learn” more and more, like Henry Ford said: “Anyone who stop learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young”. So the “students” will stay young with the program in the years to come.

The opening ceremony followed with the group photo session, a small team building game and was closed with warm dinner and opened discussions.
