Opening Ceremony of the iEMBA Program was successfully organized
The 20th Intake of the International Executive Master of Business and Administration was organized successfully on Friday, 18th September, 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This year marks a very special event for AIT, AITCV, EMBA students and for also alumni. Because of the Covid-19, we organized this opening ceremony with virtual participation from School of Management, AIT in Thailand. It was unforgettable moments of excited and enjoyed activities.
The iEMBA Program of the SOM – AIT is renowned for its internationality and academic quality. The program enhances vision and potential for a successful career and business, and therefore it’s really unique in Vietnam. Moreover, especially in this period, when the managing of organization effectively, executives have to make the right decisions, the needs of doing business analytics of assessing the long-term trends, and determine potential scenarios for investment and growth play very important role. This is a big chance for iEMBAers, at the same time also the challenges for future leaders/ managers.
The opening ceremony was held at AITCV in Hanoi office. Participated in this special event was the presence of Chairman of University of Transport and Communications – Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long, the Executive Director of SCDI – Dr. Khuat Thi Hai Oanh and Dr. Trinh Quang Khai – the Head of International relationship and Research Development, UTC. From the School of Management at AIT in Thailand, online participation of Dr. Roger Levermore – Dean of School of Management, Dr. Winai Wongsurawat – Visiting faculty of SOM and Mr. Sam Hana, Senior Executive of SHELL in Thailand. From AIT and AITCV: Dr. Phung Van Dong, Director of AIT in Vietnam. Dr. Pham Thi Kim Ngoc, AITCV Deputy Director on Academic Programs cum National Coordinator of the iEMBA/DBA programs in Vietnam, Mrs. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Deputy Director, AITCV together with Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Hoa, former AITCV Deputy Director, Mr. Dao Nhat Dinh, representative of AIT Alumni Association in the North Vietnams, AITCV staff, iEMBA alumni and the new students of this year.
After the opening remark of Dr. Dong, Director of AITCV was the welcome speech and introduction of School of Management. After that, Dr. Ngoc – the AITCV Deputy Director cum National Coordinator of SOM program provided the overall information of iEMBA program in Vietnam in this batch. The new students also had opportunity to hear the sharing useful information from their alumni and also they had chance to introduce themselves (who they are, what they do, what they expect from the course, hobbies,…) to every one.
There are totally 16 new students in this enrollment. They come mainly from EVN and its subsidiaries (8), 4 from SCDI, an NGO, from private sector – Golden Gate (1), Nhat Lo Phat (1) and 2 others from governmental office. All of them have good backgrounds, long-year experienced and possess fluent english capacity. The participants’ age range is between 28 and 40.
The opening was followed by the group photo session and closed by a warm buffet and opened discussion.
