Objective

The course is designed to provide enterprises effective tools to manage and control environmental impacts of all activities throughout the supply chain by assessing the sustainability status of the current supply chain and proposing eco-innovation programs to improve supply chain, minimizing its destructive environmental effects. A number of key activities in the supply chain such as purchasing and procurement, transportation and packaging will be focused to improve the sustainability status of the whole chain.

Target Participants

The course is beneficial for supply chain managers, production managers, environmental managers, supply chain supervisors and technical staff working in inventory, purchasing, procurement, transportation and packaging departments. The course is also a good choice for staff involved in improved projects or programs with the aim of cutting cost, eliminating environmental impacts, specifically waste and emissions, saving energy and water to gain competitive advantages.

Methodology

The course is designed in the form of presentations combining with practices of real green supply chain cases. The presentations are enriched of videos about real hands-on applications. In class practices provide participants the way to apply tools, to develop sustainable indicators, to evaluate the supply chain, thereby to recommend solutions for enterprise‘s green supply chain. The lesson drawn from the training activities that serves as the basis for the participants to complete the Green Supply Chain project of their own enterprise at the end of the course.
