Objective

The one-day course in “Introduction to Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) and Eco-Innovation for Policy Makers in Vietnam” is designed with the aims to equip policy makers with basic concepts of SCP and Eco-Innovation. It also helps the participants to understand the barriers and challenges hampering the application of Eco-innovation at the enterprises and how the SCP policies can promote and support successful implementation of Eco-innovation.

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define the concept of SCP and Eco-Innovation and their benefits and relation: how SCP policies to support Eco-innovation and how Eco-innovation at enterprises contribute to the success of SCP targets;
  • Understand key barriers hampering implementation of Eco-Innovation and how SCP policies are designed to promote Eco-Innovation;
  • Understand how SCP existing related policies is mainstreamed to support Eco-Innovation.

This training targets policy makers in SCP and Eco-Innovation.

  • Policy instruments and novel uses

Mainstreaming existing SCP-related policies to support Eco-Innovation – Context of Vietnam

  • Policy review method and stakeholders involved
  • Findings and roadmap

Policy analysis to support Eco-Innovation in food sector – case of Viet Lien

  • Policy review method and stakeholders involved
  • Findings and roadmap

Method

Training method includes presentations, case study, assignment and group discussion.

Location and duration

This one-day training course is organized in Hanoi and Hochiminh City.

Lecturers/Consultants

Trainers are AIT-VN’s experts in SCP and Eco-Innovation

Language

The training is conducted in Vietnamese.

Certification

Learners participate 90% of the total training time and actively involve in assignments/ discussions will be awarded the certificate issued by AIT-VN.
