Successful Training for governmental officers of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
From 8th August to 17th August 2017, the training program on “Climate Change and its Adverse Effects on Developing Countries” were successfully held by Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AIT-VN) in cooperation with Salzburg University of Applied Science in Austria. The training program was held in Austria, Germany and France. The participants included 7 senior officers Local Government Engineering Department, Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives from the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The delegation to Europe was led by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich Hoa – the training coordinator of AITVN.
The training was implemented on the platform of lecture and field visit with a view to the experience sharing and idea exchange on climate change adaptation in the coming countries. The presentation at the Centre for Global Change and Sustainability in Viena, Austria was highly appreciated by the participants. The Centre has many application researches in integration of climate change and human life. Climate change researches have been integrated into many social research institutes in Europe. In the presentation, several simulations implemented by BOKU was presented. They focused on research using modeling and simulation for many policy decisions of the city.
